IAP PRESENTS BLOOD ROCK NIGHT AT SOUTHSIDE WITH MIND CONTROL HALESTORM AND NOT ALONE

Philadelphia area music promoter Impact Artist Promotions (IAP) presents “Blood Rock Night” at Southside in Cambridge, MD on Saturday June 11th beginning at 9:00 P.M.

Prospective attendees need not worry about having the red liquid spew on them during this show. It’s not that kind of blood rock. This 21 and over thriller is being billed as “Blood Rock” because each of the three original bands appearing includes at least two members who are blood relatives. What’s more important for the live music enthusiast is that each of these bands from the greater Mid-Atlantic region is an emerging powerhouse in their own right who pack a healthy dose of eye and ear candy guaranteed to please.

Each band’s music can be heard in regular rotation on 95.9 FM (96ROCK Salisbury, MD), 106.9 FM (The ‘X’ Bishopville, MD) and more. Admission for the entire night is only $5 at the door.

“Not Alone” (notaloneband.com) is sponsored, marketed and managed by IAP and makes the trek south from Gilbertsville, PA (Northwest of Philadelphia) to open the show. This guitar driven modern rock band is fronted by brothers Tyler Schock (Vocals/Guitar) and Eric Schock (Lead Guitar/Vocals) who has been described as having “… all the makings of a guitar ROCK STAR!” by notable Grammy nominated producer/engineer David Ivory (Silvertide, Patti Labelle, The Roots, Erykah Badu, etc.) with whom the band is under a producer’s contract.

DJ Roxi from 96ROCK stated, “Many talented bands have come through the 96ROCK studios, but one band has set the tone for all the rest… Not Alone rocks out like a band who is hungry and on the move… this is the year for Not Alone.” The group’s latest radio single “Victory” features guest drummer Kevin Frank from Silvertide who stopped into Ivory’s studio to cut the track following 19 months of touring with Velvet Revolver and Van Halen. Ivory produced and engineered Silvertide’s first EP “American Excess” which got them signed to their deal with Clive Davis and J Records.

Second gun on the night is IAP sponsored artist, “Halestorm” (halestormrocks.com) who is another product of Ivory Productions and call York, PA their home. The bloodline in Halestorm is shared by Lzzy Hale (Vocals/Guitar) and Arejay Hale (Drums). This band hangs their hat on the indelible power vocals of Lzzy who is often compared to Chrissy Hynde (The Pretenders) and Anne Wilson (Heart). Halestorm just signed under new management in McGathy Promotions (3 Doors Down, Chevelle, Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, etc.) and has toured extensively throughout the region and beyond.

Headlining this power trifecta night are sensational Maryland rockers, “Mind Control” (mindcontrolmusic.com) hailing from Federalsburg. Mind Control is the most recent sponsored artist brought on by IAP and is fronted by sisters Becki Czyz (Vocals) and Brianna Czyz (Bass/Vocals). The girls are backed on stage by standout lead guitarist Bryan who is also their father and the driving force of the band.

Mind Control was described by ABC News reporter Ty Milborn as “…intense, energetic and raw. A fusion of rock, punk, throbbing beats and honest lyrics.” The band recently completed tracking a six song EP with famed producer Steve Wright (Jimmies Chicken Shack, Lake Trout, Evan Taubenfeld (Avril Lavigne), etc.) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore. Tracks from this EP will be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming motion picture “Ghostwatchers II” to be released by Lions Gate in October of 2005.
